Your Space Metrodome shortlisted at ukactive Awards

Your Space Metrodome, which is operated by BPL, is one of six finalists in the Regional Club/Centre of the Year category and will be up against other clubs from across the north of England to be crowned the winner.

Regional finalists are also put forward for the National Club/Centre of the Year Award.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Your Space Metrodome has played a vital role in supporting members – even when they were unable to attend the facility in person.

To help keep customers engaged and active, the club created the Your Space at Home platform so they could virtually attend their favourite classes, which were presented by their usual, familiar instructors.

Staff have also been on hand throughout the reopening to help customers feel comfortable returning to the gym environment.

Barnsley Contract Manager at Your Space Metrodome Joni Millthorpe said: “Our staff have been amazing.

“They have had to adapt so much and have supported our customers to ensure they felt confident and safe to return to our facilities.

“We’re really excited to be shortlisted for the ukactive Awards.

“It’s brilliant to be a finalist but it would be fantastic to win; both for our members and in recognition of all the hard work which staff have done over these past few months.”

The next stage of the judging process involves collating email customer feedback surveys and mystery shopping visits before the winners are announced at a ceremony later this year.
