Barnsley Metrodome launches new summer campaign

BPL worked with design agency WPA Pinfold who created a new promotional video to highlight the range of activities available at Barnsley Metrodome.

These include the Calypso Cove waterpark, bowling alley, food and drink offering and events arena – pushing the message that families can enjoy a full day out all under one roof this summer.

The campaign will also be supported with a new website for Barnsley Metrodome, which will then feed into sites for its individual attractions.

BPL’s Brands Manager Rachel Rinkcavage said: “Barnsley Metrodome is a really well-established part of the local community and has a very strong brand presence within that, so with this campaign, we wanted to remind local people who might know us best as a gym or swimming pool, that there is actually a lot more on offer; it’s a place where the whole family can enjoy a full day out.

“We also wanted to appeal to families across the region who may be looking for somewhere new to enjoy over the summer holidays and encourage them to pay us a visit so they can see for themselves the fantastic range of facilities we have here.”

Over the last couple of years, BPL has reinvested heavily into their fitness facilities by undergoing a huge a rebrand programme – Your Space. Your Space Metrodome offers the latest state of the art equipment and group exercise classes in a fun and friendly atmosphere. It’s Your Space to feel good!

BPL’s Barnsley Contract Manager Joni Millthorpe added: “We looked at what our sites meant to our customers and the feedback was that they liked the fact they were local, friendly and fun.

“We rebranded to YourSpace as we wanted people to feel that the clubs were their space to spend time doing whatever activity they like.

“Within Barnsley Metrodome, we have got so much to offer, whether that’s our fitness facilities or a wider family day out.

“It’s been a challenging time for the industry but our staff and customers have been fantastic and we’re now looking forward to welcoming visitors old and new through our doors this summer.”
